My dear Bertie: I am quite well tonight, and the last thing I shall do before “turning in” is to write you a few lines. I have had a good trade today. Sold $2,300 worth of goods, and “I am glad I came.” Strange how these notions come to me to make these out of the way dashes, and get the business. But I always follow such intuitions, and often find results gratifying. I hope this will find you all well as usual, and happy. I leave here in the morning for Great Falls, Montana. With lots of love and kisses for you all, I am yours with a sweet goodnight. G.W.D.
