RE.LE.COLLBER.55

Dear Bertie: I arrived here this a.m. about 1 o’clock, after a tedious tiresome ride of about 50 hours. We did not get away from Spokane until about 10 o’clock, instead of 7:30 as timed. The train was delayed for some cause. We had delays too on account of snow, or would have been here last p.m. about 5 o’clock. But I am now here, so that closes that part of the story. The snow is very heavy here, being about 12 inches and I am told it is very unusual. Just now there is a little rain falling so I suppose the snow will soon begin to melt. I did not get up very early today, as I was just a little tired from the long ride, besides had a touch of neuralgia. But I am now ready for the fray and will again wade into the fight and hope I may win out in the fight. I am feeling well as usual, and hope you are all in good shape, and that the weather is opening up some. It hardly seems possible that I am again so far away from you, but if the name at top of this letter is correct I guess ’tis true. I may not leave here before Saturday. With my dearest love to you and the little ones, I am Lovingly, Your Husband,
