Dear Bertie: When I came to hotel this pm I found a note from Roy Hayward saying he intended leaving tonight for Montana via Seattle and Spokane. Said he would be in Spokane all day Saturday and would call and see you and the children. I am writing you, so you may not be surprised to see him. Feel keen I was sorry not to have seen him to say good bye, and that I wish him success in his new venture. He is going to Livingston, Mont., to be secretary of the Commercial Club. I am feeling quite well today, and have not been sneezing quite so much as usual. Not so much rain today. I hope this will find you still improving and that your throat is fast getting well. I know you must have suffered severely from it. I see by Spokane papers of yesterday that Billy Sunday had a “rousing sendoff” when left. The morning Portland papers say he had a big meeting here last night. I sincerely do hope the good influence started may continue. With my dearest love to you, and lots of hugs and kisses for you and the little ones, Lovingly your husband, Geo. A. B.
