Dear Bertie: I thought you might be interested in knowing I have not yet dried up and blown away, for it still rains. More rain today, and now late at night it is still dripping. I am feeling quite as well as usual, all but the sneezes, but suppose I will have them during my stay where it is so damp. I look for this damp rain to continue while I am west of the Cascades, and now according to present plans when I get to Spokane again, it will only be a stay long enough to dry my damp duds, and then skiddoo back to the coast, making the same trip I made in the fall to Bellingham, Seattle, etc. And it rains some up there as well as here. So I think I can see where I got “soaked” good and hard. But if it all comes out in the wash, I surely ought to be good and clean. Nothing happened today out of the ordinary, except I took a nap for lunch. I think a nap at noon is better than lunch, and lots cheaper. When I had the nap I went to one of the leading bakers of Portland and sold them $150.00 worth of goods. Then I had an appetite for a 50ยข supper, and enjoyed it. So I ate two meals today. Hope you are all well and happy, and with my dearest love to you and the little ones, Lovingly, Your damp husband,
